For the summer season 2008 and beyond, Rawhide has moved to the Downstairs Bar at Royal Court Liverpool
The Downstairs Bar at Royal Court Liverpool has recently been restored to its 1930s glory and what better way to celebrate it’s reopening than by bringing Rawhide Comedy back to the Royal Court?
The Downstairs Bar is already established as a performance space and has been a big hit with Burlesque shows and a number of comedy performers during the Liverpool Comedy Festival. The 1930s art deco bar was originally modeled on the lounge of RMS Queen Mary - an ocean liner that sailed the North Atlantic Ocean from 1936 to 1967 for the Cunard Line (then Cunard White Star Line). We have a couple of booking rules to make sure that the nights are as enjoyable as possible for the whole audience. As this is a smaller room, we will be limiting the numbers of big groups to two groups per night. This will help to keep the atmosphere fun and bubbly in the new room. If you would like to book for a group of more than 10 then please call the Box Office on 0870 787 1866.
Your dinner before the show will be prepared by Simon Collard, the chef who recently won the TMP New Dish For Liverpool. He will offer a wide-ranging menu with something for everyone. Check out the menu here
The timings have altered slightly. Shows begin at 8.30pm and run until 11.15pm. If you are eating with us then please arrive after 7pm, with final food orders being taken at bang on 7.30pm, so don't be late!
To get to the venue by public transport then your best bet is Merseyrail to Lime Street station and we are right next door. Alternatively we are a 5-10 minute stroll from Central Station. If you are a bus person then any of the many that stop at Queen’s Square Bus Station will drop you right outside.
If you have a designated driver for the evening then St Johns Car Park is directly above the venue and you can park between 6pm and midnight for just £2. To take advantage of this price you will need to show a ticket from the show which you can collect on the night from our box office staff. For more details on the parking offer click here

Downstairs is a fully licensed bar and so Rawhide patrons must be 18 or over. Under 18s will not be allowed on to the premises. If you look under 18, you may be asked for ID; only Government approved ID is accepted, for example passports or driving licenses.
Unfortunately there is no direct disabled access to Rawhide. Royal Court Liverpool are currently working with their planners to try and find a suitable entrance point for wheelchair access; however, this is proving difficult as the site is a listed building, and as such reasonable adjustments are hard to make. It would be a breach of Fire Safety regulations to allow wheelchair users into the club at the current time as we would not be able to evacuate in the time set out by the city council and regulations. Rawhide Comedy apologise for the current situation. Please await further developments.
